Educational Requirements:
A minimum of a Grade 12 certificate with a Bachelors Degree Pass
Subject Requirements: Pass of minimum 50% in Visual Art and English
Interest Requirements: Creative person with an interest in Photography and an ability to comprehend business studies
Grade 12 Visual Arts or EDG (as applicable to your course) is a requirement for admission for most courses at Style Design College. Unfortunately, not all applicants have had the opportunity to take these subjects at school. Students who do not have the necessary subject requirements can take the Style Design College Foundation course as a bridging year into their first year of their chosen design field. |

Study the history of photography
Understanding the technical engineering of the digital camera
Understanding photographic Lighting principles and techniques
Develop a personal style in your creativity of photograph taking
Understand Photography as a means of visual communication
Develop research skills in relation to the Photography context
Develop an understanding of modern technologies and future trends in Photography
Printing images
Learning advanced post editing techniques in programmes such as Photoshop and Lightroom
Study the fundamentals of portraiture, landscape, commercial and macro photography
Develop and apply basic business and brand building skills
Exhibit your work at a prestigious annual exhibition hosted by the College inviting all key figures of the industry
As the College has various departments you will be used by these departments and work alongside other students in completing projects (such as taking photographs of the College’s various fashion shows and photoshoots) |
